Introduction
I started looking at the Power Platform by working with Power Apps connected to SQL Server.
I switched to working with Power Pages connected to Dataverse to investigate how easy it would be to:
- Manage external as well as internal users
- Create and maintain basic CRUD (create, read, update and delete) functionality
- Ensure personal or commercially sensitive data can only be seen or edited as required
What I found was:
- Although Power Pages doesn’t offer the pixel perfect user interface of Power Apps, there are significant advantages of using Power Pages
- It look much longer to learn Power Pages than I expected
Hence, I suspect there are many ‘citizen developers’ or professional developers who would benefit from an introduction to the capabilities and limitations of Power Pages.
